Drone Field Spraying Indonesia

Drone spraying for Indonesian plantations and paddies

Whether it is a palm block in Riau or a patchwork of rice plots in East Java, we spray, fertilise and map your fields from the air. Less hauling, far less water, and nobody walking through a cloud of pesticide.

Crops we work with

Each crop has its own timing, rates and headaches. Pick yours for the details.

Why growers are moving to drones

Knapsack spraying is hard work. In paddies the crew wades through mud; on big estates most of the day goes on walking and carrying water. A spray drone flies a few metres above the canopy along a mapped route and uses a fraction of the water.

In a field trial at IPB University’s experimental farm in Bogor, drone spraying of rice took roughly 0.6 hours per hectare against about 5.3 hours per hectare with knapsack sprayers, using 20 litres per hectare instead of 200 (Andryan et al., 2025). Results on your own land will depend on local conditions.

What we will not promise

We will not invent yield gains, testimonials or permits. Operating documents such as drone registration, pilot certificates and insurance are shown to you directly with the quote, not as badges on a website.

How it works, in short

  1. You send the location, crop and rough area through the form.
  2. We check the map, the airspace and the label of the product you plan to use.
  3. The crew arrives, maps the plot boundaries and flies the plan.
  4. You get an application record: date, area and what was applied.

Common questions

How much does drone spraying cost per hectare?

It depends on area, access and the job. We do not show a generic figure because it would mislead. Use the form for a written quote.

Do spray drones need a permit in Indonesia?

Drone operations are governed by PM 37 of 2020, and operation approvals go through DJPU’s SIDOPI-GO. The details depend on location and airspace. See the regulation page.

Which pesticides can be applied by drone?

Only products registered with the Ministry of Agriculture, used according to the label. We will turn down anything without a registration number.

Can drones work in flooded paddies?

Yes. That is one of their biggest advantages, because nobody has to wade into the mud.
